• To develop new formulas (all galenics, textures and shades) and to participate in improvement of existing range of products: to make new lab trials, to make substitution lab trials to improve standard portfolio;

• To accurately perform each step of an established protocol
• To execute under supervision development of formulation trials during development phase
• To communicate with Raw Materials suppliers for any samples and data requests to ensure availability of raw materials to perform development trials.
• Under supervision, to evaluate and characterize quality of the products: sensory analysis, physic-chemical analysis (pH, viscosity, density, rheology...);
• Under supervision to set up and to prepare stability tests to perform;
• To record data by using efficiently IT tools to ensure traceability & accuracy of all lab trials (formulas, process, comments, stability, raw materials data ...)
• To respect lead times of development planning

Skills required

• Bachelor or master’s degree in a scientific discipline; different or a lower level of education will be evaluated according to a real and proven working experience in a similar role
• 3-5 years of experience in formulation and/or color matching in a cosmetic company;
• Knowledge of English will be a preferential requisite
• IT knowledge: good knowledge of the Office package and IT tools expertise

Reporting to Packaging Senior Buyer, the job holder will be accountable for the following:

• To source specific packaging related to a customer’s project, based on Sales request, in compliance with cost / quality / timing of the project.
• To negotiate the cost of the packaging with suppliers, and once the project is won, to place the Purchase Order of the launch on the market.
• To be in contact with Marketing Team in order to check/update existing “ready to go” packaging, but also to improve the packaging proposal in terms of innovation.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Develop innovative make-up formulations ensuring regulatory compliance and product stability
• Create formulas from scratch or starting from ingredient lists and sensory briefs, using an agile and exploratory approach
• Interpret INCI lists and perform reverse engineering activities

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager he/she will be accountable for the following:

• To be responsible for the management of all activities related to reorders of products starting from order entry on time and complete with information required to execute properly

Riportando al R&D Formulation Manager responsabile dell'area di prodotto, la risorsa supporterà il team nelle seguenti attività:

• Supportare lo sviluppo di nuove formule (tutte le galeniche, le texture e le tonalità) e partecipare al miglioramento della gamma di prodotti esistenti: effettuare nuove prove di laboratorio, effettuare prove di laboratorio di sostituzione per migliorare il portafoglio standard, supportare la creazione e la definizione di formule per rispondere ai brief tenendo conto dei vincoli e degli aggiornamenti normativi nonché degli aggiornamenti tecnologici (nuove materie prime...) e assicurando la conformità alla stabilità.
